For the second year running, we’re happy to be supporting the Royal Horticultural Society’s Campaign for School Gardening by donating up to £10,000 worth of Paper Potters to qualifying schools participating in the scheme.
The Campaign, launched in 2007, now has over 13,000 schools registered. All participating schools receive a free starter kit, lesson plans and gardening advice. The Campaign teaches pupils about plants and gardening, and provides resources to help teachers make the most of their school garden and inspire their pupils to live greener lifestyles.
Schools can register on the website,
www.rhs.org.uk/schoolgardening. Once registered, they progress
through the RHS benchmarking system documenting evidence of
their practical hands-on gardening accomplishments. Nether
Wallop Trading is providing two Original Paper Potters, worth £21,
to schools which successfully complete Level 1.
Ruth Evans, Head of Community & Development at the RHS, said
“We are incredibly grateful for the ongoing support that Nether
Wallop Trading Company provides for this Campaign. The paper
potters are highly valued by schools reaching the level 1
benchmark, and are a fantastic reward for their effort and
achievement”.
Nether Wallop Trading is also offering schools a discount on a special Gardening Starter Kit. This is made up of a BIG! Paper Potter, a T Dibber, a set of Garden Lines, 2 dibblets and a String on a Stand. The RRP of the set is £53.45 but schools can order it for just £35.00 + p&p.
